blogstipation

i'm so far behind i can't see there from here.
ideas are clogging the neuro roadway, in a no passing zone.
i have blogs in the brain, backed up from here to next whenever.
the hamsters running between the synapses have collapsed, their little feet still twitching.
life has been like that.

so i give you this:

if you can listen to this and keep still, you're dead. i'll send flowers-dead ones, of course.

  1. Darlin', YEAH! I get that. It's OK. We who love you will wait for the next eruption of brilliance. It's all good, as they say.

  2. I know where one might get a fine selection of dead flowers!

  3. lm- oh boy. if you're waiting for brilliance, i suggest extending your life span (and mine) by several hundred years. i'd settle for a "gee, i hadn't looked at that before."

okatb- the pile of peonies from which you keep extracting the last bits of their souls?

  4. Some toe-tappin on the shores of the Chesapeake, where it is still humid. Great song, thanks for sharing.

  6. I also have blogs backed up in my brain, but outside events in my life are preventing me from concentrating on them too much.

I think I said this before, but listening to that, you hear the influence bluegrass must have had on rock and roll. Paul Shaffer was really getting into it with that piano playing, huh?

  7. Just spotted something that may resonate with your blogstipation: "I'm so busy I don't know whether I found a rope or lost my horse." Made me grin a little. But then, I am easily entertained.

  11. Wow. I stumble over here from O'Brien's place and look who I've found. Man, it's like Beale Street on a summer Saturday night.
Anyway. My hat is off to all those who play the banjo well. I have tried, I cannot, I will persevere.
