all our efforts are temporary. they borrow from preexisting forces, ride the current of natural events, and disappear according to the dictates of the situation. it is best to realize the transitory nature of things and work with it. understanding the world's ephemeral nature can be the biggest advantage of all.

Love that Taoism for today.
ReplyDeleteTord Gustavsen is cool and so is his name. How did you blur those pics? Was it a deliberate camera setting or photoshop? The effect is also cool.
kass-so much is changing, so quickly. i need the reminder to practice non-attachment to what isn't permanent anyway.
ReplyDeletethe blur was deliberate, via the camera. you can do that with photoshop? i need to catch up!
Blur is under the filter heading in photoshop. So is sharpen, which I use a lot because most of my shots are blurry. Do you think it makes a difference that I don't wear my glasses when I try to focus a shot?
ReplyDeletekass-thanks for the info. i think the glasses issue depends on why you're wearing them. i have to wear mine because i'm so damn nearsighted. if i didn't wear them, ALL of my shots would look like these!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm ephemeral most of the time...
ReplyDeleteEvery time I think I understand the world's ephemeral nature, it changes on me!
ReplyDeleteThanks, you just answered my questions. I need glasses, both for reading and for distance. Life is pretty much a blur for me, but I'd like my pictures to be in focus.
ReplyDeletecc-well, of course we are!
ReplyDeletekirk-wait, what? oh, yes, no, wait...
kass-soft focus, kinda like soft porn?
