  1. Damn doubletroublesome lilies! Those were some awesome reds and "Blues."

  2. Standing,
The lilies are gorgeous. How could you even attempt to resist to capture their beauty?

I love the light and vivacity of the pictures!!!

A flower's appeal is in its contradictions - so delicate in form yet strong in fragrance, so small in size yet big in beauty, so short in life yet long on effect. ~Terri Guillemets

  4. The flowers are too pretty to suffer the same fate as Thomas Becket.

  6. I need to get out of the sweets shop. Seriously, I'm questioning myself about why your lily series translates to food for me. But it does, and I have to say it the way it feels to me. The top shot makes me think of a beautifully decorated cake with glace and a sprinkle of fuchsia confectioner's sugar.

That's well and good, but the next two do more for my senses. I believe the stamens and anthers would make a soft, but audible sound as they peel away from the petal. And, I swear, I almost literally see motion in the bottom frame. I know that's sunlight, but the picture puts me in mind of the lovely little song Dancing in the Moonlight. Very delightfully presented!

  8. short in life yet long on effect – what else can we aspire for?

Flowers are a great sample of how we should embrace the gift of life…
